So you just booked a 15-minute chat about your student loans?
Here’s what to expect.
1. Create an FSA ID
If you haven’t already done so, or are unsure if you have, create a Federal Student Aid Id.
The FSA ID will allow us to use the National Student Loan Data System. That System will allow us look at every loan you borrowed from the Department of Education.
You can ignore this if your issue is with a private student loan.
2. Gather Financial Documents
Got questions about how low your monthly payment could be or what type of settlement I can negotiate for you? If so, grab your tax return, W-2, pay-stubs, etc.
I’ll use that information to give you a better estimate of payment and settlement amounts.
3. Make a List
Don’t you hate it when you leave a conversation and kick yourself because you should’ve asked this or that? I do too.
So let’s avoid that.
Make a list of your questions.
I’ll try my best to get through each one.
